Projects That Shaped My Work
With Wellness Authors

Over 15+ years, I've worked on 200+ projects across translation, editing, and publishing. Here are the experiences that led me to specialize in wellness books:

My Own Wellness Books

"Say Hello to My Friend Lupus" (2024)

My first published book about living with lupus - the project that taught me firsthand about the power of sharing lived experience to help others feel less alone.

Lupus Warrior Support Series (2024-2025)

Created three companion resources: an adult coloring book for stress relief, a symptom tracker for medical management, and a quotes journal for emotional support. Managed all aspects: writing, design, formatting, and Amazon KDP publishing.

"Breaking Free: Creating a Career That Supports Your Chronic Illness" (2025)

My second book about building a career that works with chronic illness, not against it. Written for chronic illness warriors ready to redefine success on their own terms.

What this taught me: The entire self-publishing journey from idea to published book - exactly what I now guide my consulting clients through.

Editorial Leadership: Fiction Publishing Project

Role: Editor-in-Chief for multi-title fiction series Challenge: Salvaged a high-stakes publishing project after initial quality concerns threatened contract termination

Solution: Implemented quality control measures, personally reviewed all content, established new editorial standards

Result: Secured committee approval, project success, improved processes for all subsequent titles

What this taught me: How to maintain editorial excellence under pressure while meeting tight deadlines - skills I bring to every manuscript I edit.

Ghostwriting: Yoga Book Project

Role: Ghostwriter (confidential/NDA)

Challenge: Capture an authentic voice for a yoga teacher's wellness book

Solution: Collaborative interviews, cultural sensitivity, mind-body wellness expertise

Result: Completed manuscript that honored the author's vision and expertise

What this taught me: How to write in someone else's voice while maintaining authenticity - the heart of good ghostwriting.

Building a Bilingual Wellness Community

LupusMKD - Online Community for Lupus Warriors Created and manage a bilingual platform (English/Macedonian) providing resources, support, and education for the chronic illness community. Includes website, blog content, and active social media presence.

Why it matters: There was virtually no lupus information available in Macedonian. I filled that gap while also serving the English-speaking community.

What this taught me: How to communicate complex health information with empathy, clarity, and cultural awareness.

Grammer Editing
Academic Editing Across Disciplines

Role: Editor/Proofreader for Master's Theses

Scope: Reviewed academic theses across multiple disciplines using Cambridge C1 Advanced certification

Focus: Maintained academic standards while preserving each author's unique voice and field-specific terminology

What this taught me: How to edit technical content with precision while respecting the author's expertise and voice - essential for wellness books with medical/scientific elements.

Cambridge Scholars Published Author

Academic Publication (2024)

Published chapter in a peer-reviewed academic volume through Cambridge Scholars Publishing.

What this means: I understand academic rigor, research standards, and the publishing process from multiple angles.
