After 15+ years working as a translator, editor, and publishing professional across every genre imaginable, I've made a decision to focus my editing and ghostwriting work specifically on wellness and chronic illness books.

This isn't a random pivot. It's been a long time coming.

The Turning Point

In 2016, my lupus diagnosis hit while I was managing major publishing projects, coordinating teams, and juggling hundreds of deadlines. For six years, I pushed through. I was working myself to the max while navigating medical appointments, fatigue, brain fog, and medication side effects.

In 2022, my body finally said: Enough. I quit my job, survived burnout, and learned what real recovery actually looks like.

Once I had a handle on my health, I started writing. I published books about living with lupus. I built a bilingual community (LupusMKD) for chronic illness warriors. I became a Cambridge Scholars published author. And somewhere in that process, I realized my calling wasn't just editing. It was helping wellness professionals and chronic illness advocates turn their stories into books that matter.

What Makes My Approach Different

I bring two things most editors don't: 1) professional editorial expertise AND 2) lived experience with chronic illness.

I've worked on over 200 book projects across medical, legal, literary, and wellness genres. I know the craft inside and out. But more importantly, I know what it's like to create when your body doesn't cooperate. I understand energy-aware deadlines, the reality of rescheduling due to flares, and what it means to write from a place of healing rather than depletion.

When you work with me, you're not just getting grammar corrections. You're getting an editor who understands both the technical aspects of your manuscript AND the emotional weight of sharing your story.

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with:

  • Wellness coaches writing about mind-body recovery

  • Yoga teachers and holistic practitioners with healing stories

  • Chronic illness warriors sharing their lived experience

  • Therapists with insights on resilience and transformation

  • Health advocates helping others get stronger in body and mind

If you're working on a wellness or chronic illness book and you need someone who gets both the editorial craft and the lived reality, you're in the right place.

How I Can Help

I offer three main services:

Manuscript Editing: I provide developmental editing (structure, flow, content organization) and copy editing (grammar, style, clarity) that preserves your unique voice while elevating your message.

Ghostwriting: Through collaborative interviews and thoughtful drafting, I help you turn your expertise and lived experience into a manuscript that feels authentically YOU.

Self-Publishing Consulting: As a published indie author myself, I guide you through the entire self-publishing process - from manuscript preparation to platform selection to launch strategy.

Your Story Matters

I believe your story doesn't have to be perfect to be powerful. And you don't have to figure out publishing alone.

If you're ready to turn your wellness expertise or chronic illness journey into a published book, I'd love to talk.
